According to a survey conducted by the Sociological Group Rating from July 5 to 12, more than 80% of respondents believe that the economic situation in Ukraine has deteriorated over the past year. Specifically, 83% of those surveyed reported a worsening economic situation, while 10% felt it had remained unchanged, and 2% noted an improvement.

Additionally, 64% of respondents believe the political situation has also worsened. In contrast, 22% felt it had not changed, and 7% saw an improvement.

Regarding confidence in the future, 57% reported a decrease in their sense of security, 25% saw no change, and 9% experienced an improvement in their confidence.

The survey also revealed that 60% of respondents felt their family’s material well-being had worsened, 35% felt it had stayed the same, and 4% noticed an improvement.

On August 2, 2024, results from the National Democratic Institute and Kyiv International Institute of Sociology indicated that nearly a quarter of Ukrainians are facing serious financial difficulties with their current income, while only 8% of the population feels comfortable.

Respondents identified customs, the Verkhovna Rada, and the government as the most corrupt institutions in Ukraine. The survey allowed participants to select up to three areas or institutions where they believe corruption is most widespread.
