As of December 2023, the level of trust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is reported to be 96% and 88%, respectively, according to the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology survey.

The share of those who trust President Volodymyr Zelensky has decreased by 22% compared to December 2022. At that time, 84% expressed trust in the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and now it is 62%.

The majority of Ukrainians - 59% - at the same time trust both the President and Commander-in-Chief V. Zaluzhnyi. The share of Ukrainians who have polarized views is quite small. Yes, only 14% trust V. Zaluzhnyi and at the same time do not trust the President, and only 1% trust the President but do not trust V. Zaluzhnyi.

Trust in courts and prosecutors is critically low with a significant deterioration compared to last year. Only 12% of Ukrainians trust the courts and only 9% trust prosecutors. Do not trust - respectively, 61% and 64%. In December 2022, the courts were trusted by 25%, prosecutors by 21%, but more importantly, there were significantly fewer (in half) those who did not trust them.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) is trusted by 58%, which is 5% less than the previous year. The National Police is trusted by 41%, compared to 58% the previous year.

Volunteers are highly trusted in Ukraine - 84% trust them and only 3% do not trust them (in December 2022, the indicators were almost identical).

Ukrainian mass media have significantly lost trust, whose trust indicators have returned to the level of December 2021. So, over the last year, those who trust Ukrainian mass media decreased from 57% to 29% (in contrast, those who do not trust them increased from 14% to 40%).

In addition, the Church is steadily losing the trust of the public. Between December 2021 and December 2022, trust in the Church decreased from 51% to 44%, between December 2022 and December 2023 - from 44% to 38%.

The lowest level of trust is directed towards the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), with only 15% expressing trust. A year ago, 35% of respondents trusted the parliament. Thus, the Rada has lost more than half of its support over the year.

The government is currently trusted by 26% of respondents, compared to twice as many (52%) a year ago.

From November 29 to December 9, 2023, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted its own all-Ukrainian public opinion survey "Omnibus". Bythemethodofcomputer-assistedtelephoneinterviews(CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers (with random generation of phone numbers and subsequent statistical weighting), 1,031 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except AR of Crimea) were interviewed. The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, lived on the territory of Ukraine (within the boundaries controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until February 24, 2022). The sample did not include residents of territories that were not temporarily controlled by the authorities of Ukraine until February 24, 2022 (AR of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts), and the survey was not conducted with citizens abroad.
