In the Zaporizhzhia direction, a successful campaign to destroy Russian anti-aircraft missile systems is ongoing. Ukrainian forces continue to target the enemy's air defense systems.
This information comes from Dmytro Lykhovyi, the spokesperson for the "Tavria" Operational Group, during the national telethon.
"The 'genocide' of the Russian air defense system continues," he stated.
Lykhovyi reported that between August 24 and 25, Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged three major enemy air defense systems: two Tor SAM systems and one Buk-M3 SAM system.
He added that this is part of a broader operation, which has resulted in the destruction of 11 such systems since the beginning of August.
"This means that the sky is being cleared for our aviation," he emphasized.
