In New York City, the participation of ballet artists from the Russian Mariinsky Theatre in a gala concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the prestigious ballet competition "Youth Grand Prix of America" has been canceled.
Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, announced this on Facebook.
It is noted that the gala concert was supposed to take place on April 18 and 19.
According to Markarova, the decision to cancel the participation of Russian artists was made due to a protest action by Ukrainians outside the ballet theater of David H. Koch.
"The Putin ballet is canceled! A wonderful reminder at the end of the week that the strength of Ukrainians lies in unity and initiative," the ambassador wrote.
