During the night of January 30, the air defense forces successfully destroyed 15 out of 35 Russian kamikaze drones.

This information is provided in the summary from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posted on its Facebook page.

"The Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 35 strike UAVs of the 'Shahed-136/131' type. The air defense forces destroyed 15 enemy drones," the statement reads.

Later, the Ukrainian Air Force specified that during the night of January 30, the Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 35 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from three directions: Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk (Russia), Chauda (Crimea), and two guided missiles from the S-300 air defense system targeted Donetsk region.

The Air Force, in collaboration with the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, successfully destroyed 15 UAVs in the territories of Mykolaiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Kyiv regions.

The Russian forces directed some of the strike UAVs towards the front-line areas, attempting to target infrastructure in the fuel and energy sector, civilian and military objects near the front line, and the state border with Russia.

The defense forces engaged aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to repel the aerial attack.
