The winning wines of the Uwines Awards 2025 (Ukrainian Wines Awards) were selected on May 28–29 in Kyiv.
According to the organizers, this year’s competition featured 125 samples from 29 wineries. Eight experienced experts conducted blind tastings over two days to select the best wines in the country. Based on the evaluations:
- 42 wines received bronze medals
- 50 — silver
- 19 — gold
- 2 — platinum medals
“Both wineries that received the highest awards are from Zakarpattia. The Furmint Late Harvest from Chateau Chizay scored 96 points, and Rubino Oro™ from KOVACH WINERY scored 95. It’s also worth noting that VINOMAN received the highest score in the dry white category — 93 points for their Riesling,” noted the experts.
All wines were blind-tasted by leading sommeliers, including Ukraine’s top sommeliers, board members of the Ukrainian Sommelier Association, and representatives of the Ukrainian wine sectors Wine Time and Good Wine.
All winning wines will be available for tasting on June 7–8 at the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival in the dedicated Uwines Awards area (available to PRO ticket holders) or separately at the stands of the participating wineries — 32 winemakers will take part in the 22nd edition of the festival.
