The German weapons manufacturer Rheinmetall will soon complete the construction of its second factory in Ukraine.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"The German weapons manufacturer Rheinmetall has just opened its first factory in Ukraine, and the second facility will soon be completed," Rutte said.
He added that Rheinmetall has significantly increased ammunition production since 2022.
Stoltenberg also noted that in Bavaria, American and European companies are collaborating with NATO support to produce 1,000 Patriot air defense missiles at a new factory.
"This is transatlantic defense industry in action, providing capabilities and jobs on both sides of the Atlantic," said the NATO Secretary General.
The German defense concern Rheinmetall planned to open three enterprises in Ukraine, specializing in the production and repair of air defense systems, repair and assembly of armored vehicles, and the production of ammunition.
