The Russian Federation uses Crimea as a springboard for the illegal transportation of grain stolen from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The court imposed arrests on six ships that called at the ports of Crimea and took out stolen grain from Ukraine.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Telegram.
"At the request of the prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the court seized 6 ships that entered the closed ports and terminals of the Crimean peninsula. They took part in the transportation of Ukrainian grain stolen by the invaders and were a tool for committing crimes," the report says.
The Office of the Prosecutor General notes that the vessels "Amur 2501", "Alexander Grin", "M. Andreev", "Fedor", "St. Konstantin" and "Kapitan Korchin" under the flag of the Russian Federation "carry out systematic illegal entries into the closed Sevastopol Sea Trade port, transporting Ukrainian grain to third countries.
"Thus, the Crimean peninsula is used by the Russian Federation as a springboard for the illegal transportation of grain stolen from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine," the statement said.
On August 31, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that more than 1.5 million tons of Ukrainian food is already being exported by sea.
