The Russian invasion of Ukraine has prompted the Czech Republic to revise its plans for reequipping its Armed Forces, with a particular focus on drones.

This was reported by Radio Prague International.

"Particular attention is now being paid to the role of unmanned aerial vehicles, which Ukrainian defenders use for both reconnaissance operations and attacks," the report states.

Colonel Magda DvoÅ™áková, a spokesperson for the Czech Army, confirmed that the military leadership intends to purchase hundreds of small FPV drones. These drones will equip almost all combat units, not just special forces and paratroopers.

Additionally, over the next three years, intensive training will be conducted for Czech military personnel on piloting UAVs, practicing methods of mass deployment, and using drones for both combat attacks and protecting their own military equipment.
