The defenders of Snake Island have returned home to Odessa region after captivity and rehabilitation

Two Ukrainian border guards, who heroically defended Snake Island and spent nearly three years in captivity, have finally returned to their hometowns – Izmail and Vylkove.

This was reported by the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

On December 30, 2024, the defenders were freed from Russian captivity.

Afterward, they underwent a rehabilitation course in medical institutions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, where they received the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
