The Defense Forces shot down 103 Russian drones, while another 51 were lost by location

On the night of March 1, 2025 (starting at 19:30 on February 28), the Russian forces launched an attack with 154 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various decoy drones from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 08:30, 103 Shahed-type strike drones and other UAVs were confirmed shot down over the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.

Additionally, 51 decoy drones were lost by location without causing negative consequences.

The attack affected Kharkiv, Odessa, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions.
