On the night of March 4, 2025 (from 7:00 PM on March 3), the Russian forces launched an attack with 99 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of drone imitators from the directions of: Orel, Kursk, Millero, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
The air defense was engaged by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM, 65 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovograd, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
32 drone imitators were lost due to location-related issues (without negative consequences).
As a result of the attack, the Odessa, Sumy, and Donetsk regions were affected.
