Ukraine's Defense Forces shot down one Kh-59/69 guided aviation missile and 67 Shahed-type attack drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine from the evening of September 29.

According to a statement by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram, on Monday, September 30, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and strike UAVs. In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 76 aerial threats:

  • One Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea;
  • One Kh-59/69 guided aviation missile launched from the airspace of the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region;
  • One Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the airspace over the Black Sea;
  • 73 Shahed-type attack drones launched from the regions of Kursk, Yeysk, and Orel.

Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams from the Air Force and Defense Forces repelled the attack.

As a result of the air defense battle, one Kh-59/69 missile and 67 Shahed drones were shot down over the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions.

One drone headed toward Belarus, while three drones lost location tracking in northern Ukraine due to electronic warfare.
