The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved the use of the domestic-made Poseidon unmanned aerial complex in the defense forces' units.

This was reported by the Main Directorate for the Life Cycle Support of Armament and Military Equipment.

"The complex is designed to perform a range of specialized tasks. The aircraft of the complex are equipped with electric engines and a modern navigation system. It operates in temperatures ranging from −20°C to +45°C, even in strong winds. The battery charge lasts for several hours of continuous operation. The operational altitude of these drones is beyond the reach of many enemy air defense systems," stated Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Dmytro Klimenkov.

The first contract for the test operational-tactical UAV was signed on May 18, 2022. It turned out that this drone is a step ahead of many others already in use in the war. Testing showed its resistance to electronic warfare (EW), its ability to evade danger and return to base autonomously, stability in flight, and confidence in long-distance operations.

The Poseidon H10 Mk III set includes three gliders and two control systems! This means that in case of losing one unit, there are backups; operations can continue without interruption. For a counteroffensive, the speed of reaction, precision, and protection against EW are especially critical.
