The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Estonian Center for Defense Investments have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

This information is provided by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency Marina Bezrukovа, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Anneli Kolk, and CEO of ECDI Magnus-Waldemar Saar.

"The development of bilateral defense cooperation with Estonia is one of our main priorities. I am confident that further effective cooperation between the agencies will contribute to the procurement of weapons and military equipment," emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

The department noted that the parties have agreed to begin active work on implementing the provisions of the Memorandum of Cooperation and jointly exploring new ways of supplying weapons to Ukraine. There will also be an exchange of experience in meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Estonia.

"We count on active cooperation with the Estonian Center for Defense Investments to carry out procurements and implement joint projects. This will contribute to the modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and meeting their needs," said Marina Bezrukova, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency.

The CEO of ECDI, Magnus-Waldemar Saar, stated that intensifying defense cooperation is a logical continuation of Estonia's current efforts to assist Ukraine.

"Estonia was one of the first helpers to Ukraine, supplying materials during the war. The agreement reached now will further intensify cooperation between the two countries," added Magnus-Waldemar Saar.
