There are preliminary agreements with the European Investment Bank (EIB) regarding the attraction of donor funds for the construction of a water intake from the Southern Bug River and a main water pipeline to Mykolaiv.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
“For Mykolaiv, a technical solution has been found—water supply from the Inhulets River. This year, the government allocated a total of 384 million UAH to finance the stable supply of technical water to Mykolaiv via this route,” he wrote.
At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized that the long-term solution to the problem lies in constructing a water intake from the Southern Bug River and a main water pipeline to the regional center. The estimated cost of the project is around 8.8 billion UAH.
Shmyhal stated that there are already preliminary agreements with partners, including the European Investment Bank, regarding the attraction of donor funds for this project, and he expects its swift implementation.
