The European Parliament has approved the creation of a aid fund for Ukraine and the allocation of 50 billion euros over four years.

This was announced by Radio Free Europe correspondent Rikard Jozwiak, in his Twitter message.

"The European Parliament has now overwhelmingly (536 for, 40 against, 39 abstention) approved the 50 billion euro aid for Ukraine," he said.

The Ukraine Facility program for Ukraine EU leaders approved the allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program for the years 2024-2027 at a special summit in Brussels on February 1.

And on February 5, the EU Council and the European Parliament reached a preliminary agreement on the creation of a new instrument to support the recovery, reconstruction, and modernization of Ukraine called the Ukraine Facility.

The document is expected to be approved by the European Parliament at the plenary session scheduled for February 26-29, 2024.
