The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated over 8.121 billion UAH from the reserve fund of the state budget for the construction of fortifications. The relevant decision was made at a meeting on April 23, 2024.
"We continue to work on strengthening the defense capability of Ukraine, reinforcing the frontlines and borders of our state. Work on strengthening existing and constructing new fortifications, which effectively deter the enemy and save the lives of our defenders, is ongoing around the clock. The government is ready to provide all current needs for financial resources. Today, we have allocated over 8 billion hryvnias from the reserve fund of the state budget to the regional military administrations involved in fortification construction," noted First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.
This time, the funds were allocated to eight regional military administrations involved in constructing multi-tiered defenses on key fronts.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated approximately 38 billion hryvnias for the construction of fortifications.
