The Cabinet of Ministers has additionally allocated 5.6 billion hryvnias for the construction of fortifications, particularly in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during a government meeting.
"We have already allocated 20 billion hryvnias for the construction of reliable fortifications this year. Today, we are adding another 5.6 billion hryvnias," he stated.
According to him, 1.1 billion hryvnias are allocated for fortification construction in Donetsk region, over 1 billion hryvnias for Zaporizhzhia region, 1.5 billion hryvnias for Sumy region, and 300 and 400 million hryvnias for Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, respectively.
"Work is underway 24/7. All of this is necessary to strengthen our defense and protect our soldiers," Shmyhal added.
