The IMF team has arrived in Kyiv
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) team today begins meetings in Kyiv with representatives of the Ukrainian government and other partners.
As reported by Ukrinform, This statement was made by Vagram Stepanyan, the IMF's Resident Representative, according to a press release from the IMF available to the agency.
"The IMF team, led by Uma Ramakrishnan, Deputy Director of the IMF's European Department, starts meetings today in Kyiv with representatives of the Ukrainian government and other partners," the statement said.
Discussions will focus on the goals of Ukraine's economic policy and the challenges facing its economy. The IMF team will participate on February 13 in the inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee of the Fund to Strengthen Ukraine's Capacity, administered by the IMF. At this meeting, representatives of the Ukrainian government, development partners, and IMF experts will discuss priorities for strengthening Ukraine's capacity and the IMF's support for this important task.
Following these meetings, on February 17, the IMF mission led by Gavin Graham will begin discussions with representatives of the Ukrainian government in Warsaw as part of the third review of the Extended Fund Facility program supported by the IMF.
