The largest rehabilitation center for Ukrainians affected by the war is being built in Briukhovychi near Lviv. It will be part of the large-scale Unbroken Ukraine medical project. This was announced by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Construction has already begun on the grounds of the local Medical Rehabilitation Center. The project involves renovating the existing building and constructing new facilities. The updated center will accommodate over 100 patients in need of rehabilitation after severe injuries, providing them with essential medical and psychological support.
All construction work is expected to be completed by November this year. The project is supported by international partners:
-
The Government of Lithuania has allocated €5.6 million,
-
The Red Cross of Ukraine — €2.5 million,
-
The German organization GIZ will provide modern equipment worth approximately €2.5 million.
“I sincerely thank our partners — the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the Red Cross, GIZ, and all international organizations who believe in Ukraine, understand the price our people are paying for their freedom and peace in Europe, and support us in this struggle,” Kozytskyi wrote.
The total area of the center will expand from over 5,000 m² to more than 9,000 m².
