In the first ten months of 2024, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has contracted 1.6 million UAVs of various types, totaling over 114 billion UAH.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense is continuously improving supply processes and expanding the range of technologically advanced solutions to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The agency emphasizes that these measures aim to provide the Ukrainian military with the necessary support for effective execution of combat missions.
In the first ten months of 2024, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has contracted 1.6 million UAVs of various types, totaling over 114 billion UAH.
Of this amount, suppliers have already fulfilled orders for 1.28 million drones worth over 81 billion UAH. Additionally, by the end of the year, a further 366,940 units are scheduled for delivery.
The delivered drones encompass a wide range of models designed for various battlefield tasks, including deep strike kamikaze drones, FPV kamikaze drones, reconnaissance copters like DJI Mavic, reconnaissance aircraft, winged drones, and both strike copters and aircraft.
Meanwhile, for 2025, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has already contracted 155,205 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for a total of 32.33 billion UAH.
The contracts include drones of all major types, such as deep strike and FPV kamikaze drones, as well as reconnaissance aircraft and copters, which will enhance the technical capabilities of the Ukrainian army on the front lines.
In total, for 2024-2025, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have contracted the supply of 1.8 million UAVs worth nearly 147 billion UAH.
