The State Employment Center officially registered 156,000 unemployed Ukrainians.
Olena Melnyk, Deputy Director of the Employment Policy Implementation Department, announced this on the air of the informational telethon.
"Today, 156,000 citizens are officially registered in the service as unemployed. The most significant number of those who applied and are registered are women - 71%.
In terms of regional distribution, most requests are recorded in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, followed by Dnepropetrovsk and Sumy regions," she said.
According to Melnyk, now, out of 26,000 vacancies owned by the employment service, a large proportion are for skilled workers who own a certain labor tool. There are also trade and services offers and a significant number of vacancies for those who know how to maintain and repair cars or tools.
