The majority of respondents consider the United States and Great Britain friendly towards Ukraine (81%), while the number of those who consider Poland unequivocally friendly has decreased from 79% to 33%.

These are the findings of a survey conducted by the sociological group "Rating" on February 10-11, 2024, as part of the 26th wave of research on the dynamics of public sentiment in Ukraine.

"In general, the majority consider the United States and Great Britain (81%), Germany (80%), Poland and Lithuania (79%), Canada (78%), France (70%), and Japan (55%) friendly towards Ukraine. Poland remains a friendly country for most Ukrainians, but the positive assessment has decreased from 94% to 79% compared to last year. Moreover, the percentage of those who consider Poland unequivocally friendly has decreased from 79% to 33%," the group said in a statement summarizing the survey results published on the "Rating" group's website.

At the same time, the number of Ukrainians who consider the United States unequivocally friendly has decreased from 61% in June 2023 to 35%, and respondents opt for the answer "rather friendly."

The absolute majority of respondents consider Russia (97%), Belarus (90%), and Iran (75%) as hostile countries.

According to the survey results, the number of those who consider China (from 34% in June 2023 to 58% now) and Hungary (from 42% in June 2023 to 52%) as hostile countries has increased. Also, the proportion of respondents who consider Belarus as an absolutely hostile country has increased from 56% to 71%.

In addition, Ukrainians view Israel as a neutral-friendly country: 44% consider it neutral, while 38% consider it a friendly state. Respondents assess Turkey more as a neutral country (51%), but the prevalence of the opinion that Turkey is a friendly country has decreased from 40% in June 2023 to 30%.

The survey was conducted among adults aged 18 and older in all regions of Ukraine except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas, as well as territories where Ukrainian mobile communication was unavailable at the time of the survey. 1,000 respondents were surveyed, and the sample is representative by age, gender, and settlement type. The survey method was telephone interviews using a computer (CATI). The margin of error of the survey's representativeness with a confidence level of 0.95 is no more than 3.1%.
