President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday morning to participate in the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day. He announced this on Twitter.
"I've returned to Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day with our fraternal Ukrainian people. Ukraine's victory is close! Lithuania will support Ukraine as long as it's needed!" Nauseda wrote.
The President of Lithuania will also participate in the Crimean Platform summit.
As reported by the Lithuanian President's Office, during his working visit to Kyiv, Gitanas Nauseda will also meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss assistance to Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian aggression, and negotiations regarding Ukraine's membership in the European Union.
The visit was not announced in advance.
