Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has proposed a plan for Europe's support of Ukraine, emphasizing security guarantees.

"We must act now to support Ukraine and boost Europe's security. No more talk shops - time for action," Nausėda stated on X.

His five-point plan includes:

  • Real security guarantees for Ukraine - NATO membership must stay on the table.
  • Russia must be held accountable for war crimes, and sanctions must stay until aggression stops.
  • Urgent funding for weapons & €10B for Ukraine's defense industry.
  • Seizure of Russia's frozen assets & imposing tariffs on Russia/Belarus imports.
  • Fast-track 🇺🇦 EU accession - target date by 2030.
