Now, based on a work order, you can stay in Poland for up to two years, not 6 months with the same break as before.

Polish President Andrzej Duda signed a number of amendments to laws simplifying the employment of foreign citizens, particularly Ukrainians. The office of the Polish president reported this.

According to the amendments, citizens of Ukraine and five other countries will be able to work in Poland not for six months, as it was before, but for two years without a work permit, but based on a declaration of work assignment.

Until now, the right to entrust work to a foreigner allowed employment in Poland for six months a year; obtaining the following declaration required a six-month break.

The new rules also simplify the procedure for obtaining a temporary or permanent residence permit and the digitization of this process.

When applying for a residence card, a foreigner will no longer be required to have a documented place of residence in Poland and a permanent source of income. Instead, there is enough information that the wages of a foreign worker are not less than the minimum wage in Poland.

A citizen of Ukraine will confirm his social security by providing an employment contract with a specified salary.

In addition, the list of circumstances that do not require a foreigner to issue a new residence and work permit includes a change of position with a salary increase.

The new rules will take effect 14 days after their publication in the government media, that is, in the second half of January.
