President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Ukraine Audencio Contreras González, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Carlo Formosa, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine Pavel Vizdal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine Alle Dorhout, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Ukraine Ravi Shankar and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ukraine Luc Jacobs.

The Head of State congratulated the newly appointed Ambassadors on the beginning of their diplomatic missions in Ukraine and expressed hope for the active development of bilateral dialogue with their countries. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state during the full-scale Russian aggression.

During the meeting with Ambassador of Mexico Audencio Contreras González, the President discussed the results of the first Peace Summit. The Head of State invited Mexico to support the Joint Communiqué and join the practical implementation of the Peace Formula, particularly with regard to the return of Ukrainian children and the exchange of prisoners of war.

“Please convey my congratulations to Ms. President-elect of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum. I look forward to strengthening bilateral relations between Ukraine and Mexico. We will be glad to see Ms. President in Ukraine at her convenience,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The interlocutors discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, in particular in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and in the aerospace industry.

Congratulating Ambassador of Italy Carlo Formosa, the President noted the role of Italy during its G7 presidency and the decisions adopted at the G7 Summit in Apulia.

“I want to thank the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy for holding the G7 Summit in Apulia, during which a very important decision was made to allocate USD 50 billion to Ukraine. It is of great importance for our economy and budget,” the Head of State said.

The parties separately discussed cooperation in the defense sector, including the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense system to protect our skies from Russian air terror, which is extremely important before the start of the new school year.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the Italian Government for the decision to hold the next Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Rome in 2025. The President emphasized that the best proof of the Conference's success would be its practical results, including the implementation of new projects in our country.

At a meeting with Ambassador of the Slovak Republic Pavel Vizdal, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Slovakia for supporting our country and implementing a number of projects aimed at economic growth of both countries and strengthening regional stability.

“We had a good meeting with the President of Slovakia. I invited him to join the G7 Declaration of Support for Ukraine, which is important for us. I also invited the President of Slovakia to visit Ukraine,” the Head of State noted.

Welcoming Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Alle Dorhout, Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the Netherlands for its significant contribution to Ukraine's defense capabilities, in particular, its participation in the F-16 coalition.

“We are glad to have such a partner as the Netherlands, which helped us with air defense and other important decisions,” the President said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed steps for the practical implementation of the Peace Formula and support for our country on its path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

After congratulating Ambassador of India Ravi Shankar on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in our country, the Head of State thanked India for its engagement in the promotion of the Peace Formula and for its participation in the first Peace Summit. The President expressed the hope that India would join the Communiqué of the Summit.

The parties also discussed trade and economic cooperation as well as other promising areas of bilateral interaction.

During a meeting with Ambassador of Belgium Luc Jacobs, Volodymyr Zelenskyy commended Belgium for its support of Ukraine on our path to EU integration. The President also thanked for the decision to accelerate the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

“We are very grateful to the Government and people of Belgium for supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian aggression. Some decisions were extremely important – the support of the EU, the decision on the Bilateral Security Agreement and F-16s,” the Head of State noted.

The parties separately discussed the priorities of Belgium's defense assistance to Ukraine, taking into account the urgent needs on the frontline, as well as the issue of assistance to the restoration of our country.
