Estonia will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine amounting to 0.25% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) over the next four years.
The Estonian Prime Minister, Kaja Kallas, made this commitment, as reported by ERR.
"Estonia's contribution to Ukraine's victory will be 0.25% of GDP over the next four years. If every country contributes 0.25%, that's what Ukraine needs to win this war," she stated.
Kallas urged other European countries, North American countries, and nations worldwide to follow this example.
The Estonian Prime Minister added that since 2022, Estonia has provided nearly 500 million euros in military aid to Ukraine.
"This is necessary for ensuring our security," she emphasized.
In addition, Estonia will allocate 14 million euros annually in the coming years for joint efforts in Ukraine's recovery and related decisions.
Kallas noted that many people have become accustomed to the war, and in democratic countries, public opinion slows decision-making.
She believes that consistent public outreach is necessary in various countries to explain why it is crucial to support Ukraine.
