Oazu Nantoi, a MP from the ruling party of Moldova "Action and Solidarity", believes that the Transnistrian conflict cannot be resolved through diplomatic negotiations. He invites NATO and Ukraine to resolve the conflict by force.
"I do not think that the Transnistrian conflict should be resolved on the basis of a dialogue with Tiraspol. Chisinau, together with partners, should develop an action plan, put it on the table, and those who accept these conditions will be forgiven, the rest will have to leave. There is no need to play with negotiations ", Nantoi said on the air of TVR Moldova.
The MP added that the conflict would be resolved peacefully "only because now Transnistria is in a tough situation." Nantoi also spoke about the demilitarization of the region.
âAnd, of course, coordinated actions with Ukraine and NATO are needed here. Because we will not be sincere if we start talking about the country's reintegration without a specific plan for the complete demilitarization of this territory,â the deputy said.
The "Action and Solidarity" party later noted that Nantoy expressed his personal opinion, which does not coincide with the agenda of the political force. "Action and Solidarity" officially supports the path of negotiations.
- Russia planned to invade the territory of Moldova at the beginning of 2023, and the intelligence informed that the implementation of these plans depended on the development of the war in Ukraine.
- Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova did not allow the Russian military to enter the territory of their country. This is a task force based in Transnistria.
