Over 1,200 missiles and drones were fired by Russian invaders at key energy facilities in Ukraine. Ukrenergo reports this in Telegram.

"No other European energy system has experienced such a large-scale destruction attempt: more than 1,200 missiles and drones were fired by the Russians at key energy facilities. Unfortunately, more than 250 of them hit the target - 43% of the main networks were damaged. All thermal and hydroelectric power plants."

It is also noted that, according to the World Bank and UNDP, the scale of destruction inflicted on the Ukrainian energy system is exceptional: only the primary needs for the restoration and protection of the high-voltage network of Ukrenergo this year amount to almost $1 billion.

"The enemy concentrated on hitting power plants and facilities of the main networks. And immediately after the end of the air raid, repair teams entered the battle - only here, in Ukrenergo, there are more than 1,500 specialists. Backup schemes - to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible, extraordinary technical solutions - to repair the damaged, thousands of hours of negotiations and searches in 40 countries of the world - to find a new one to replace the destroyed one."

In addition, it is reported that Ukrenergo has already received almost 500 units of equipment from European partners, and more are being produced and are going to Ukraine. Thanks to the combined efforts, as of today, 80% of the damaged backbone network has been returned to work, at least in some places and partially.

At the same time, Ukrenergo assured that now the power plants are producing enough electricity to meet the needs of consumers, and the condition of the networks allows us to do without blackouts.
