Russian military forces attempted to attack energy infrastructure in the Odessa region with drones overnight. Additionally, in Zaporizhzhia, several private houses and outbuildings were damaged due to the falling debris of shot-down drones, reported the Southern Defense Forces in a Telegram channel.
"The enemy once again routes through residential neighborhoods of peaceful settlements, resulting in debris from downed drones causing damage to several private houses and outbuildings in the Zaporizhzhia region. No casualties were reported," the Southern Defense Forces stated.
The department reported that overnight, the enemy launched several waves of drone attacks from the south. UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type, originating from the occupied Crimea, approached both from the occupied left-bank part of Kherson region and from the Black Sea waters.
It was noted that the first wave of attacks targeted Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Within two hours of combat operations, 2 drones were shot down in Dnipropetrovsk region and 7 in Zaporizhzhia.
"In the next wave, the enemy targeted the Odessa region, directing the strike at the energy infrastructure. During half an hour of combat operations, all 4 drones were shot down," the statement added.
