The Russian Red Cross Society stole the property of the Ukrainian society in occupied Crimea.

"The Russian Red Cross stole the property of the Ukrainian society with the tacit consent of the International Federation," Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets wrote on Telegram.

In particular, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society owned 10 premises on the territory of Crimea, with a total area of 641 square meters, as well as 6 cars and office equipment for staff.

At the same time, as noted by the Ombudsman, all this property was "occupied" by the Russian Red Cross.

"I turned to the International Federation with a letter in which I ask you to explain the" occupation "by the Russians of the property of the Red Cross Society in Ukraine and its transfer to the Russian Red Cross for compliance with their principles," Lubinets said.

At the same time, as of today, Lubinets has yet to receive a response. "I can conclude that Russia's financial contributions to the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society are more valuable than the very values of the organization," the Ombudsman said.

Lubinets called for the exclusion of the Russian Red Cross from the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and the termination of its international funding. He also asked to ban the use of the corresponding emblem by the Russian Red Cross.
