The State Bureau of Investigation officers, together with SBU officers, exposed the operative officer of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, who "leaked" data to the Russian occupiers. Now, he is "merging" detailed information about the betrayal of DBR investigators.
It was previously established that the Russian FSB recruited the operative officer at the beginning of a full-scale offensive. At the occupiers' request, the "militiaman" collected information on military equipment of the Armed Forces, checkpoints, and locations of law enforcement agencies in the region.
He passed the collected information, with specific geolocations, to the curators via one of the Internet messengers.
In addition, Bureau officers found an arsenal of unregistered ammunition in the police officer's official car.
He has now been informed about the suspicion, in particular, of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
On May 11, 2022, by the decision of the Kyiv District Court of Poltava, the suspect was remanded in custody. The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office provides procedural guidance.
