The startup Himera was founded a year and a half ago by Mykhailo Rudominskyi and Oleksii Oliinyk. The team currently consists of twenty people.

During the INSCIENCE CONFERENCE held in Kyiv in June 2023, the developers presented a communication and coordination system for units based on a secure digital tactical radio called the HIMERA G1 HANDHELD RADIO.

The startup has already received $100,000 in investment from Freedom Fund VC, a German fund founded by former CEO of the Armed Forces Innovation Center, Marcel Jon.

At the end of February 2024, the startup received a new investment of $525,000 exclusively from angels. This investment came from the Lviv-based club United Angels Network, launched in January 2024, and a group of private investors. Most of these investors remain anonymous, with Mykhailo Rudominskyi revealing only two of them. The first is IT entrepreneur and co-founder of the outsourcing company Perfectial, Andrii Skoropad. The second is Arnaud Dassier, a French businessman, business angel, and co-founder of the semi-secret venture fund Kóryos, as reported by Forbes.

The startup's plan for 2024 is to release the next version of the product and secure government contracts.

The next model of the Himera G1 Pro radio is already prepared for market launch. It will be slightly more expensive than the first version but significantly cheaper than civilian radios such as Motorola or military developments, according to Rudominskyi.

Additionally, the startup is developing peripheral products such as repeaters. "Our main task for this year is to transition from radio stations to a fully-fledged communication system," says the founder of Himera.
