The engineering company “Robotic Complexes,” which specializes in manufacturing ground-based robotic platforms for military use, is beginning cooperation with the Lithuanian Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology to establish a production base for unmanned ground vehicles in Lithuania.
The partnership envisions creating a manufacturing facility in Lithuania to produce ground robotic systems for the needs of Ukraine, as well as their further adaptation to NATO standards.
The implementation of the project is expected to strengthen production capabilities for Ukraine’s Defense Forces and open new opportunities for Ukrainian technologies to enter the markets of NATO member states.
The CEO of Robotic Complexes, Ihor Chaikivskyi, and the director of the Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology, Tomas Žalandauskas, signed a protocol during the NATO–Ukraine Defence Innovators Forum 2026, held on June 1–2 in Vilnius. The first stage of cooperation will include assessing the possibility of creating a joint venture, preparing a business plan, seeking investors and production partners, as well as analyzing regulatory, legal, and export procedures.

The partnership foresees combining Ukrainian combat experience and technological solutions with the capabilities of Lithuania’s defense ecosystem. In particular, the parties plan to cooperate with the Lithuanian Armed Forces and the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, as well as other defense and security institutions, to conduct testing, train operators, and develop scenarios for the use of ground robotic systems.
A separate focus will be the adaptation of the platforms to NATO standards, integration of new components, and development of specialized modifications for the needs of Alliance countries.
