Al Dahra, a global agribusiness headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Getreide AG Ukraine to develop a dedicated supply chain for Ukrainian grain, as reported by Khaleej Times.
Through this agreement, Al Dahra aims to procure between 100,000 and 150,000 tonnes of grains annually from Ukraine, with ambitions to increase this volume to over 500,000 tonnes. Ukraine remains one of the world’s leading exporters of key crops such as wheat, corn, and barley.
Teams from both companies are working closely to ensure the integration of operations is finalized ahead of the start of Ukraine’s new agricultural season in July 2025.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Al Dahra’s existing operations in Serbia, Romania, Egypt, and the United States, while providing a stable and consistent supply chain for customers across the Middle East and Africa.
Arnoud van den Berg, CEO of Al Dahra Group, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, stating:
“This agreement represents a significant step forward in securing dependable supply chains globally. Partnering exclusively with Getreide AG Ukraine places us at the heart of a crucial agricultural region, allowing us to better serve the growing food demands worldwide.”
Al Dahra operates across more than 20 countries, with activities encompassing grain cultivation, trading, and processing. The company’s presence in the Black Sea region includes a trading hub in Constanța, Romania, where it manages the sourcing of wheat, barley, soybeans, sunflowers, and corn.
Getreide AG Ukraine, a subsidiary of Germany-based Getreide AG in Hamburg, specializes in rapeseed oil, malt, and food products distributed across 62 countries. It supports exports of rapeseed and other crops to German processing facilities for the production of oil, meal, and malt.
