This week, "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" has launched two new high-flow gas wells, which produce 550,000 cubic meters of gas per day. Both wells were drilled at new promising deposits.

This was reported by the press service of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine".

As stated in the announcement, in 2024, the Naftogaz Group will continue to increase its own gas production, primarily due to the technologies implemented by "Ukrgazvydobuvannya".

According to the press service, 86 new wells were launched in 2023, with 24 of them having an initial flow rate of over 100,000 cubic meters.

Earlier, the head of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine", Oleksiy Chernyshov, stated that this winter would be the first for Ukraine to pass without the need for gas imports, relying solely on domestically produced gas.

Chernyshov announced plans to "maintain a 7% growth rate in gas production" per year. According to him, the goal for 2024 is 14 billion cubic meters produced solely by "Naftogaz". He also emphasized the importance of increasing production by private companies.
