The Presidents of Ukraine and Finland, Volodymyr Zelensky and Alexander Stubb, have signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of security and long-term support between the countries.
This was reported by the press service of the President of Finland.
It is noted that the President of Finland is on a visit to Ukraine and met with Zelensky in Kyiv.
"This visit demonstrates strong and unwavering support for Ukraine from Finland," the statement said.
During the meeting, the presidents discussed, among other things, the current situation in the aggressive war initiated by Russia over two years ago, Finland's support for Ukraine, and Ukraine's efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
At the end of the meeting, the presidents of the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of security and long-term support between Finland and Ukraine.
"The ten-year agreement demonstrates Finland's long-term commitment to supporting Ukraine. It covers several sectors, including political support, support for the defense and security of Ukraine, as well as support for reforms and the recovery of Ukraine," the statement said.

In turn, Zelensky stated that the security guarantee agreement is a strong document that confirms Finland's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
"Finland will provide long-term military and financial assistance, as well as deepen cooperation with Ukraine in political, financial, humanitarian fields, and in the sphere of reforms," he said.
The President also added that Finland will assist Ukraine in rebuilding the energy sector, assessing environmental damage, strengthening border and critical infrastructure protection, as well as providing medical treatment for Ukrainian military personnel.
