As part of the expanded Ukrainian-Polish dialogue on reconstruction, expert working groups took place with participation from government representatives of both countries and business. Each of the four groups focused on a specific area of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation: trade, investment, transport and logistics, and construction.

The focus of the dialogue was on concrete directions for Ukraine’s post-war recovery, opportunities to involve Polish businesses in infrastructure projects, improving logistical connections, and developing economic cooperation.

The parties deepened their mutual understanding of the key priorities for Ukraine’s recovery and Poland’s role in this process. Agreements were reached to continue systematic dialogue, maintain ongoing exchanges of project initiatives and practical developments, and jointly plan the next concrete steps in each of the defined cooperation areas.

The trade working group included the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland Vasyl Bodnar, Head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development Serhiy Sukhomlyn, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rostyslav Korobka, and Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Liudmyla Shemelynets. The main focus was on removing trade barriers, increasing the efficiency of goods exchange between the countries, and identifying priority sectors for economic partnership.

The logistics working group, which included Deputy Ministers of Community and Territorial Development Serhiy Derkach, Andriy Kashuba, and Oleksiy Balesta, considered prospects for developing transport infrastructure between Ukraine and Poland. Key topics included modernization of border crossing points, improvement of railway connections, development of maritime and river transport, and prospects for opening Ukraine’s airspace.

The investment working group included Deputy Ministers of Community and Territorial Development Maryna Denysiuk and Kostyantyn Kovalchuk. The group discussed opportunities for attracting foreign capital to Ukrainian regions, particularly in the context of post-war recovery.

The construction working group was led by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Nataliya Kozlovska. Participants discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in housing, infrastructure, and industrial construction. Emphasis was placed on the value of Polish practical experience and human resources that can be applied in Ukrainian reconstruction projects.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Bodnar emphasized the strategic importance of such interaction and expressed confidence in its long-term development.

“This is just the beginning. Ahead of us is a large volume of joint work. I am convinced that these working groups will evolve into permanent directions of strategic cooperation between our countries,” said the Ambassador.

The meeting confirmed the Polish side’s interest in Ukraine’s recovery, opening new prospects for bilateral partnership based on mutual support, interests, and a shared vision for the region’s future.
