Ukrainian Ministry of Defense representatives held consultative negotiations with the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters delegation on the details of the recently announced military aid package.

The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Ministers of Defense Serhiy Boyev and Brigadier General Anatoliy Klochko. The Swedish side was represented by Major General Mikael Sherinet, Director of the Directorate of Material and Financial Support, and Brigadier General Stefan Anderson, Head of the Coordination Group for Support to Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting discussed ways to enhance the effectiveness of the aid. The Ukrainian delegation expressed deep gratitude for the recently announced military aid package, which is the largest since 2022, amounting to approximately $1.6 billion, and will be directed towards supporting air defense, artillery, satellite communications, and naval capabilities.

"I am grateful to Sweden for its leadership. We will continue working to increase the effectiveness of our cooperation and the mutually beneficial development of capabilities," said Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boyev.

He also emphasized the priority needs of the Defense Forces: a critical requirement remains the strengthening of air and missile defense, ammunition for various weaponry, and funding for Ukraine's defense industry capabilities.

Anatoliy Klochko raised the issue of providing the necessary equipment and technology to Ukraine, as well as strengthening the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force.
