Ukraine has conducted another prisoner exchange with Russia, bringing 90 defenders home.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky and Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak on Telegram.

"Home is not just a word. Home is Ukraine. Today, another 90 of our people have returned home from Russian captivity," the President wrote.

According to him, the returnees include soldiers from the National Guard, Naval Forces, Territorial Defense, and Border Guards. They defended Mariupol and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and fought in the Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk directions.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine remembers all its people in Russian captivity and continues to work towards their release.

He also highlighted the role of the UAE, which facilitated this prisoner exchange.

Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, mentioned that as a result of the exchange, 52 defenders of Azovstal and prisoners from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant were freed.

"We expect further exchanges in the near future," he added.

It is worth noting that the Russian side previously announced the prisoner exchange with Ukraine on a 90-90 basis.
