Ukraine has restored over 500 healthcare facilities that were destroyed by Russia

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, efforts have been ongoing to restore the Ukrainian medical infrastructure damaged by Russia. Currently, 510 medical facilities have been fully restored, as reported by the Ministry of Health. Additionally, another 355 medical institutions have been partially rebuilt or are in the process of restoration.

These include medical facilities in the territories affected by occupation, as well as those that suffered minor damages such as broken windows, roof damage, facade damage, and so on. The majority of restored medical institutions are located in Mykolaiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, and Chernihiv region.

The Ministry of Health also highlighted that over the course of more than two years of full-scale war, the enemy damaged 1,591 medical facilities and completely destroyed 210 others. The most significant losses were recorded in medical facilities in Kharkiv region, Donetsk region, Mykolaiv region, Kyiv region, Chernihiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kherson region, and Zaporizhzhia region.

Moreover, the Russian army damaged 161 emergency medical service vehicles, destroyed 261 emergency medical service vehicles, and seized another 125.
