Ukraine has returned the bodies of another 140 servicemen who died in the war. Most of the fallen heroes fought on the Donetsk front.

This was reported by the Coordinating Committee for Prisoner of War Affairs on Telegram.

The bodies of the deceased soldiers were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine. It was possible to return the bodies of 112 defenders who fought on the Donetsk front, 20 fallen soldiers on the Luhansk front, five from the Sumy front, two from the Zaporizhzhia front, and one from the Kherson front.

It is noted that the bodies of the fallen soldiers will initially be handed over to law enforcement agencies and forensic experts. This is necessary to establish the identities of the deceased.

The return of the soldiers' bodies was facilitated by the Coordinating Committee for Prisoner of War Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
