Ukraine has successfully brought back six more children from territories temporarily occupied by the Russian forces. They are now safe.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
The children, along with their families, returned from the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. According to the parents, the Russian authorities forced their children to attend Russian schools, celebrate holidays, and pressured them to obtain Russian-style documents. Additionally, one of the families experienced unwarranted searches by Russian forces.
"One family has already visited the Child Rights Protection Center... Another family was assisted by our staff from the regional office in Cherkasy," wrote the Ombudsman.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian terrorists have forcibly taken Ukrainian children to Belarus, Crimea, or deep into Russia. This practice led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for dictator Vladimir Putin by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
