The High Anti-Corruption Court partially upheld the lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice regarding the confiscation of Ukrainian assets from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, which is under sanctions.
This was reported by the press services of the Ministry of Justice and the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The court confiscated shares and stakes from three Ukrainian companies: PJSC Maritime Register of Shipping (Sevastopol), PJSC Maritime Register of Shipping in Ukraine (Odessa), and LLC Maritime Bureau of the Register (Odessa). Additionally, once the decision comes into force, over 27 million UAH in equivalent, 146 million UAH in state loan bonds, creditor claims amounting to more than 12 million UAH to MR Bank, 8 real estate properties in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sevastopol, Odessa, Kerch, and Izmail, as well as 8 cars, will be confiscated.
The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping maintains the registry of Russian vessels and specializes in providing services in the maritime industry, including technical supervision, certification, and ensuring navigational safety. The institution has been under ten-year sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and is also included in the sanction lists of the European Union and Switzerland.
