Upon the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and in pursuance of the G7 Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva has started negotiations with Norway on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement.

The Norwegian delegation was headed by Special Representative for Ukraine of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway Christian Syse.

"Norway is our key partner in Northern Europe, that has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. It is important that today we have started the process of formalizing the security commitments of our countries," said Ihor Zhovkva.

The parties discussed the main structural elements and blocks of the future agreement and agreed on a schedule for further work.
