Ukraine has proposed creating joint ventures with French companies that produce weapons, tailored to its needs. Several projects were suggested, which could be funded by income from frozen Russian assets.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boyev during a meeting with France's Special Representative for Ukraine Assistance and Reconstruction, Pierre Elbron. Boyev shared that Ukraine's critical needs remain in air defense and missile defense systems, interceptor missiles for existing systems, heavy armored vehicles, and ammunition.

"Beyond investments and production development, Ukraine is also interested in purchasing ready-made weapons. The needs remain significant, the situation at the front is dynamic, so we require quick decisions," Boyev concluded.

He also briefed Elbron on Russia's current plans, stressing that the aggressor’s actions indicate that Russia has no intention of stopping the war and continues to enhance its capabilities in forming units, recruiting new personnel, and developing its defense industry.

"It is crucial for us to continue receiving support from partners and to increase it. Ukraine must be strong on the battlefield – this is vital for achieving lasting peace," Boyev emphasized.
