The government has approved a decision to secure €50 million in EU support for the repair and development of Ukrainian port infrastructure. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Cabinet meeting.

According to the Prime Minister, the operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor is crucial for assisting farmers with logistics. He noted that over 11 months of the corridor's operation, cargo throughput at the ports of Odessa region reached 60 million tons, with nearly 41 million tons being exported food products.

Additionally, in the area of demining agricultural land, Shmyhal reported that 310,000 hectares have been surveyed, cleared, and returned to use.

"The state is allocating UAH 3.5 billion for the humanitarian demining project. We currently have 47 mine action operators and over 2,200 deminers working. There are 109 demining machines available, with another 68 contracted. Our goal is to return all agricultural lands to use as quickly as possible," Shmyhal emphasized.

The government is also continuing support for land reclamation, with UAH 200 million allocated in this year's budget.

"We are building and restoring reclamation systems over an area of up to 8,000 hectares. This helps increase crop yields and provides additional investments from the farmers themselves," the Prime Minister noted.

He added that Ukraine has successfully completed its third harvest during the large-scale war. Farmers have already gathered over 25 million tons of grain, including 19.5 million tons of wheat and 4.8 million tons of barley.

"Harvesting of early grains and legumes has been completed in five regions," the Prime Minister added.
