"Ukraine will receive another batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark by the end of 2024. The exact date and number of aircraft in the new deliveries remain classified for operational security reasons," said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, as reported by DR.
The minister confirmed that the first aircraft was handed over to Ukraine in August, and Denmark has committed to supplying a total of 19 fighter jets.
"In the second half of 2024, another F-16 will be delivered," Poulsen added.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most widely produced and successful multirole fighter jets of the fourth generation. Developed in the U.S., it has been adopted by many countries, including Italy.
The F-16's high maneuverability makes it effective in air combat, and it can carry a wide array of weapons, including air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs, and rocket pods.
Thanks to its versatility, the F-16 is used not only for air superiority but also for striking ground targets, reconnaissance, and other missions. Its reliability and effectiveness have made it one of the most popular fighter jets in the world.
